My Happiness

It's actually not that easy to be happy most of the time. It takes a lot of effort. It takes a lot of learning. Mostly it takes a lot of self control!
Not allowing yourself to become upset with little things. For example, when i have to pick Jeremys clothes up off the bathroom floor and put them in the laundry, I take a deep breath, say to my self, I'm sure he'll do it next time. Or when the Internet is being slow, I take a deep breathe and instead of slamming the laptop lid shut I'll pick up the piece of rubbish that didn't quite make it on the bin before and try again.
When Jeremy has left the sauce, salt and pepper, his dishes on the bench after lunch, dinner and breakfast, I'll put them away for him because I know he doesn't have to come home for lunch and spend that time with me,  even though, I know,  it only takes a couple of seconds to put things away after we use them. When the dog just will not leave me alone, I will yell for him to get out and then he'll just look at me, and I feel bad because he just wants someone to play with, so I'll give him a ruffle and walk back inside.

Honestly, I think what I have learnt so far in life, is to truly not let the little things get to you.
That list could go on and on and on and on even more, but in all seriousness what's the point on letting it bother you...
I'm 23... there no room in my life to get angry at being asked to pass the butter because you're closer it, or having to put the toilet seat down, let's face it ladies... its 1 second out of our day...
Not letting the little stuff get to me, has not meant there is more room to be angry about bigger things on life, it hasn't,  a lot of the time now, I barley think about it those bigger things in my life that anger me.

Being much happier not getting all up in arms about little things has made me a happier person, a better friend, and I think for the most part (I do get grumpy at Jez every now and then) a better girlfriend.
